This is indeed a 5-star home and there are lot of things at ones disposal, which really make a difference – coffee, local olive oil, cool drinks, anti-mosquito products, 6 bicycles and more. Sibenik town is only 5 min away by car and there is a wonderful market and lots of possibilities for boat trips. In the vicinity you may also find lots of beaches and coves. We found the apartment to be a bit small, but we have definitely enjoyed our stay there, especially on the superb terrace.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Summer Adventure apartment.

On arrival, we were greeted by the host’s two friends, who were really friendly, and showed us around and explained how everything worked. We had also been left a gift of local products – sponge, wine, olive oil, rosemary (2018) infused vinegar and soap, which was a lovely touch. This apartment was really well decorated and furnished, with a good balance of homely touches, but not lots of clutter. And most of all, it was spotlessly clean.

The kitchen was compact but fully equipped, including tin foil, cling film, etc – the things you need when self-catering, but don’t always remember to buy. We cooked in the apartment every night. There was a breakfast bar on wheels that moved across the hob when you weren’t using it, which made the most of the space too. The TV is on a wall bracket so you can move it around to watch from the dining table, kitchen area or sofa. The balcony is huge, with two long sofas made from pallets with cushions on top, and the dining chairs and table from inside are also for use outside.

The apartment is on the second floor and although it’s just off a minor road and you can hear traffic when it goes past, you can only see the trees and towards the lake opposite. When we first arrived and saw that there was only one air conditioning unit in the hallway between the bathroom and two bedrooms, we were worried that this wouldn’t be enough to cool down the open plan living area too but actually, it worked fine and we never felt too hot indoors, even when it was really sunny and hot outside. There is also a ceiling fan and flyscreen in the main bedroom.

The bedrooms are at the back of the apartment, and also really quiet. There’s a nice little beach just down the road. Šibenik’s a 10-minute drive away and the apartment’s also really handy for Krka National Park. All in all, a great stay! Thanks again.
